Tortuga’s Saltwater Grill
Sip on coffees and cocktails like “Island Coffee” – Bloom City coffee, Bailey’s, and Texas whiskey on ice with house whip, French-roasted drip hot brew or cold brew, traditional brunch mimosas or bloody Marys, and more. Enjoy “plates” including steak and hash, shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, and others. “Handhelds” include a brunch burger loaded with bacon and fried egg, a breakfast BLT, or classic burger. Savor the flavor of French toast. Enjoy “traditional” style with syrup, powdered sugar, and whipped cream, “berry” with house berry compote, or “Tuga Style” featuring house caramel, spiced Mexican chocolate, and candied pecans!
Brunch is served 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sundays. The rest of their menu is available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., Friday-Saturday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., and Sunday 3-9 p.m. They are closed on Wednesdays.
Black Marlin Bar & Grill
It’s one of the newest brunch spots in Port A! The establishment only recently started serving brunch. Previous selections for specialty brunches like Easter and Mother’s Day include starters like sausage pancake balls, “dirty” deviled eggs, breakfast fried spring rolls, and a variety of soups and salads. There have been a variety of entrees, and desserts that include apple turnovers, pineapple coconut bread pudding, and strawberry shortcake.
Brunch is served on Sundays 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Island Cafe
While there is no “brunch” menu, the restaurant’s hours more than make up for it. When you come in for breakfast, you can enjoy eggs, grits, omelets, steaks, taquitos, and more. Steaks are served with eggs, hash browns, and biscuits or toast, and taquitos are served with bacon, ham, sausage, potato, egg, and cheese, for a mix of breakfast and lunch flavors you’re sure to love.
Currently, hours are limited: 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday. They are closed on Friday and Saturday. Hours may change during the summer season. Breakfast is served until 11:30 each day.
San Juan Restaurant
While they don’t have an official “brunch” menu, they serve breakfast all day! Breakfast selections feature a variety of egg dishes: ranchero-style, Mexican-style, or even cactus and eggs! Keep it simple with oatmeal and toast, fill up with pancakes, eggs, and meat, or spice it up with a Mexican omelette.
For lunch or dinner, come for a variety of gorditas, tortas, and soft tacos. Try a “plate” featuring taco salad, chicken fried steak, fajitas, and others. Wrap up the meal with the sweet taste of fried ice cream or a sopapilla bread! They have an extensive menu, so you can go multiple days during your Port A trip and have something new each time.
Brunch in Port Aransas at Coffee Waves
Visit another delicious restaurant without an official “brunch” menu. Start your morning or grab a pick-me-up between fun Port A activities. Their coffee starts with Nordaggio’s and Driftwood Coffee Co. roasters products, both of which specialize in small batch, specialty coffee. Choose from espresso drinks like a macchiato, cappuccino, latte, and much more. Opt for any of a variety of blended drinks, from caffeinated blends like the CW frap in mocha, vanilla, or caramel, un-caffeinated Chai frap, or fruit smoothies.
If you’re not in the mood for coffee, choose tea, hot chocolate, Mexican cocoa, or the unique “London Fog.” Add a little something to eat, like Boar’s Head baked goods or sandwiches, or desserts – including 18 different gelato flavors. Hours are 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily.
